Solar PPA
Install solar without investing yourself
A PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) is a contract to buy electricity from a solar system. EV Power Energy invests in, designs, installs and maintains the whole system on your roof, and your business pays only for the electricity it actually produces at a pre-agreed rate lower than the utility's. When the contract ends, the system is transferred to you under the agreed terms
No lump sum, no impact on your credit lines, and nothing to record as an asset
Pay for solar power at a lower rate than your normal bill as soon as the system starts supplying power
Panel cleaning, maintenance, equipment replacement and insurance for the full contract term
Cut the carbon emissions from the electricity you use, with historical production reports
How PPA works
- 1Preliminary assessment1–2 days
Send your past electricity bills and building location, and we'll assess feasibility and an indicative tariff before you decide
- 2Site surveyAbout 1 week
Inspect the roof structure, installation area, electrical system and daytime usage pattern
- 3Quotation and draft contract1–2 weeks
Specifies the system size, estimated annual production, contract tariff, contract term and expected savings
- 4Design and procurement2–4 weeks
Engineering design, relevant permits and ordering equipment to the agreed specs
- 5Installation and testing2–8 weeks
Timing depends on system size; installed to engineering standards and tested before going live
- 6Power supply and ongoing careFor the full contract term
Billing starts on the units actually produced, with system monitoring and scheduled maintenance
Which businesses suit a PPA?
- ✓Average electricity bills of about 100,000 baht/month or more
- ✓Heavy daytime use, matching the hours solar produces power
- ✓A roof structure that can bear the load, with enough installation space
- ✓Operating at the same location for the full contract term
Our business customers
PPA vs. buying the system yourself
| Topics | PPA | Buy it yourself |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront investment | None | Pay in full or borrow |
| System owner during the contract | EV Power Energy | The customer owns it |
| Maintenance / insurance | The provider is responsible | The business is responsible |
| What you pay monthly | Electricity based on units produced | Loan installments (if borrowing) and system maintenance |
| Savings | The difference in electricity cost from the first month | Slower payback in the long run |
| When the contract ends | System transferred under the agreed terms | Owned from the start |
PPA FAQ
What do I need to invest at the start?+
Nothing for equipment or installation — the provider invests in everything. Your business just provides the roof space and electricity usage data
Who is responsible if the system breaks down?+
The provider handles maintenance, equipment replacement and insurance for the full contract term at no extra cost to your business
Can the contract tariff go up?+
The tariff and any price adjustment terms are clearly stated in the contract from the start, so you can forecast costs — unlike utility electricity, which fluctuates with the Ft charge
What if the roof needs repairs during the contract?+
Let us know in advance so we can plan together. Our team will remove and reinstall the panels on the agreed schedule
Can capacity be expanded later?+
Yes. If your usage grows or more roof space becomes available, the system can be expanded and the contract adjusted to the new size
Who owns the system when the contract ends?+
The system becomes your business's asset under the stated terms, and keeps producing power with no new investment
Send 3 months of past electricity bills and we'll assess an indicative tariff and savings within 1–2 days

For businesses, electricity is a big cost that squeezes profit every month. Solar turns this expense into an investment with clear returns, especially for factories and buildings with heavy daytime use
Our engineers analyze your real load, design the system to supply power during your peaks, and calculate breakeven in detail, with advice on tax and BOI benefits
Most businesses pay back faster than homes because they use daytime power fully. Once paid back, lower energy costs become a long-term competitive advantage

FAQ
How good is the ROI of factory and business solar?+
Factories that use power during the day see an IRR (internal rate of return) of 15–25% a year, payback in 4–6 years and savings of 500,000–5,000,000 baht a year, depending on system size and existing bills
What permits do factory and business solar systems need?+
MEA/PEA approval for On-Grid systems; large systems (>200 kW) also need an ERC license. EV Power Energy handles every step of the permit process
Can a company deduct solar costs for tax purposes?+
Yes, 100%. Solar installation is a business expense that is fully tax-deductible, and you may also qualify for additional BOI tax benefits if you meet the criteria
How long does a factory solar installation take?+
Survey, design and permits take 2–4 weeks, installation 3–7 days (depending on size) and inspection and handover 1–3 days — about 1–2 months for the whole process
Can small SMEs install solar?+
Yes. Shops, offices and warehouses can start at 10–30 kW. We design to your budget and actual electricity use, with no minimum size
